Palais Des Festival
After evaluating three other leading line arrays, the Palais des Festival in Cannes (France), took delivery and installed twenty-eight Adamson Y10, six Adamson Y10 Subs, 4 Spek-Trix subs in cardioid mode and 4 x LX10 for infills for their main “Grand Auditorium” stage. The theatre is home to the Cannes Film Festival and a variety of other major French productions. A committee of audio consultants and engineers held the evaluation at the theatre. The decision was unanimous and the system made its debut at the Midem awards (the Grammy’s of France).
The system was designed using Adamson’s Shooter software provided by DV2 ® Adamson Europe. –This cabinet is not like other compact cabinets on the market. It’s a 3-way compact that can keep up with any of its full sized competitors.” said system designer Didier Dal Fitto. DV2 also installed Lab.gruppen amplifiers and XTA Controllers.
A secondary venue in the Palais des Festivals complex called Auditorium A, is a mid-sized venue used for conferences and show cases. Auditorium A recently received an upgrade with a small flown Metrix system made up of one Metrix Sub, two Metrix 5 degree enclosures and two Metrix W 15 degree enclosures per side. Two CB’s are used as infills. Lab.gruppen C series amplification with XTA processing is used to power and process the system.
