Adamson Systems Engineering is a leading designer and manufacturer of Professional Audio Products for the touring industry and large install applications. Our headquarters are located in Port Perry (20mins North of Oshawa), Ontario. As a member of a team of engineers, the candidate will fill the role of Senior Hardware Engineer. The chosen candidate will be responsible for leading a Power Electronic Project.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Develop power supplies and amplifiers for use in professional audio products.
-Lead the design, interaction, and development of Class-D Amplifier
-Magnetic design and prototype of inductors and transformers
-Test, qualify and debug supply and amplifier to meet FCC, CE, UL, etc. standards
-Ability to work effectively with other design engineers, manufacturing, test engineering and outside suppliers to ensure a high quality, robust solution in minimal time
-Extensively simulate designs in Cadence PSPICE
-Ability to produce results in a dynamic work environment
-Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional product development team
-Must be self-motivated in order to achieve assigned objectives with minimal supervision


-Class D audio amplification background required
-BS or MS Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent
-Deep understanding of different power electronics circuit topologies
-7+ years of electrical engineering experience, specifically in power electronics
-Hands on experience with electronic lab testing equipment
-Experience with PCB design software Altium
-Extensively simulate designs in Cadence PSPICE -Experience with documentation of product development
